3 Reasons We Especially Love A Food Hall And Market

  • REASON NUMBER 1: As a touring theatrical burlesque production company with multiple troupe members, a food hall or market is going to have something for everyone as you settle into the latest city for your shows and events.

We know that all too well having traveled from New York to Baltimore for the debut of our immersive burlesque floor show “The Siren Spectacular.” Not only did our team have lunch before tech and breakfast the day after at R.House in Remington, Baltimore…, the Garage at R.House is where our actual show took place. (A first of its kind in that venue for burlesque thanks to Executive Producer, Shay Au Lait!) From the vegetarians to the meat-lovers and everything in between, the various restaurant stall options provided options for all.

  • REASON NUMBER 2: Food Halls and Markets tend to have great perks for bleisure travelers, entrepreneurs, and artists. They serve as great coworking spots.

They can be wonderful for a small, manageable pop-up size meetup or group gathering. Often they have free wifi. If they’re nice with it, some offer free water. If you’re a traveling troupe or a production company, its a great place for lunch and a quick production meeting. One of our personal favorites is in New Orleans,  St. Roch Market. Have you been? You simply can’t go wrong there.

  • REASON NUMBER 3: In addition to the food and drinks, food halls and markets are great for local event programming which can lead to additional sales and revenue.

Often creativity in event programming is underutilized with Food Halls and markets. However, the opportunities are there. Marketing and Event Directors of Halls and Markets could stand to partner with local event and nightlife producers to capitalize on the opportunity for increased revenue. Most often, because food halls and markets tend to have ample space for event programming and a built-in audience, if you partner with the aligned producer select events with leveraged marketing strategies, activations, and community engagement can be used to increase PROFIT. This is seen in events Siren Pack produces such as the “r.bar Spirits Academy” and “Rendezvous at R.House” for instance. Visit our Event Production portfolio for select programming which includes Food Hall and Market partners.
